Resource Files

Resource files define critical dependencies used by DCT Compliance for data operations. These files include data formats that describe the structure of flat data files used in masking and discovery jobs.

Resource files are managed at Compliance > Resource Files.

Data formats

A data format specifies the structure of a flat data file, such as a delimited, fixed-width, JSON, Parquet, or XML file. Formats are used when creating rule sets for file connector-based masking and discovery operations.

Data formats include information such as:

• Field names and positions

• Delimiters and end-of-record characters

• Text enclosure and escape strategies

• Header and footer row counts
