Requirements and prerequisites (OVA)

Technical requirements

The minimum requirements for a DCT engine are as follows:

  • CPU: 8 vCPU

  • Memory: 16GB RAM

  • Storage: 128GB system disk + 50GB disk (metadata volume)

Supported platforms

A DCT engine can be deployed with the following methods:

  • VMware ESX using an OVA file.

  • Microsoft Azure from the Azure Marketplace.

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) using an AMI shared with the customer's AWS account (not available in the AWS Marketplace or GovCloud).

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) using a supported instance type that meets the minimum requirements, by importing the OVA (from the Delphix download site) into OCI.

ESX

  • VMware Cloud

  • VMware ESXi 7.0, 7.0 U1, 7.0 U2, 7.0 U3

  • VMware ESXi 8.0, 8.0 U1, 8.0 U2, 8.0 U3

Azure

Any Azure instance type that meets the minimum requirements above is acceptable. Deployment is performed through the Azure Marketplace.

AWS

Any AWS instance type that meets the minimum requirements above is acceptable. You must provide your AWS account ID to Delphix Support so the AMI can be shared before deployment.

OCI Cloud

Any supported OCI instance type that meets the minimum requirements above is acceptable.
