DCT appliance requirements
Technical requirements
The minimum requirements for a DCT engine are as follows:
-
CPU: 8 vCPU
-
Memory: 16GB RAM
-
Higher memory allocation (32GB/64GB) may be required with features like Delphix AI Services.
-
-
Storage: 128GB system disk + 50GB disk (metadata volume)
Internal network range
DCT appliance allocates private IP addresses for its own internal use from this reserved private range: 172.31.254.0/24.
If your environment routes or uses any of these ranges, you may experience connectivity issues accessing the DCT appliance UI or API from hosts on those sub-nets. Contact Delphix Support to discuss network configuration options for your deployment.
Supported platforms
A DCT engine can be deployed with the following methods:
-
Amazon Web Services (AWS) — AMI
-
Microsoft Azure — Marketplace
-
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) — custom image
-
Hyper-V — VHDX
-
KVM-based hypervisors — qcow2 image
-
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) — OVA import
-
VMware ESXi — OVA
