2026.2 version release (March 2026)

New features

  • Continuous Data for PaaS (Early Access)

Continuous Data for PaaS (CD4P) has been released as Early Access. This capability allows organizations to orchestrate sensitive and desensitized PaaS databases throughout their test data landscape using native cloud provider APIs — without requiring Delphix virtualization engines on the target infrastructure.

CD4P Early Access introduces the following capabilities:

    • Support for AWS RDS (Oracle and PostgreSQL) and Azure SQL Managed Instance

    • Cloud Accounts for credential management and automated PaaS discovery

    • PaaS Instances and PaaS DBs with full timeline visualization, including automated backup history and rolling backup windows

    • Provision, Refresh, Bookmark, Deprovision, and Reprovision workflows aligned with existing Continuous Data patterns

    • Cross-account sharing of masked bookmarks within the same cloud region

    • Full RBAC integration — administrators can grant self-service users access to any subset of PaaS DB operations using the standard DCT tag-based permission model

For full configuration steps, requirements, and workflow documentation, see Continuous Data for PaaS.

  • Continuous Data Parity — Oracle and SQL Server

All available Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server UI and API features in Continuous Data are now fully supported in Data Control Tower. The remaining set of SQL Server features and other improvements has been migrated in 2026.2 and includes environment creation, dSource linking, snapshot ingestion, and VDB provisions. We encourage Delphix administrators to install and migrate their day-to-day SQL Server management to DCT. For more information, see Oracle operations and SQL Server operations.

  • Continuous Compliance Parity — New applications

Continuous Compliance on DCT introduces a centralized, control plane-driven approach to data masking for net new Delphix applications and databases. In the new DCT-centric model, compliance logic is defined once, executed on headless, stateless infrastructure, and tracked centrally with full execution history, delivering consistent behavior at scale. This release supports the configuration of new, standard databases, such as Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.

File Masking support and migration support of existing applications, currently on the engine model, is planned for a future release. In the meantime, users may manually migrate their existing database profiling and masking configuration.

  • Data Library

A new Data Library page provides a unified view of all DCT-managed data assets across the platform, including dSources, VDBs, PaaS DBs, PaaS Instances, and Connectors. The Data Library serves as a central starting point for all data-related workflows in DCT, regardless of whether datasets are virtualized or PaaS-based.

For more information, see Data Library.

  • Documentation AI Help update

The Documentation Help (?) feature will now appear within a side panel of the interface. This will allow users to continue their chat window while navigating the application. In addition, the chat will default to the Data Control Tower and Ecosystem documentation sites. Other product documentation sites will be removed in future releases.

  • Hyper-V DCT appliance support

Installation of DCT appliance is now supported on Hyper-V.

  • New and improved APIs and CLIs

The following endpoints and commands have been introduced or heavily modified.

    • Compliance: Create, Update, and Delete; many APIs have been added to support the complete management of Compliance objects.

    • Data Library: Single API to find any data asset managed by Delphix.

Visit the API references for 2026.2 for an expansive breakdown.

Fixed issues

Issue ID Description
APIGW-13509 Resolved an issue where, when deleting engine-owned policies from DCT, the user would receive an error, but the policy would still get deleted.
APIGW-15294 Resolved an issue where Data Asset’s Overview containers were not presented cleanly when the Tag’s Name or Value were very long strings.
APIGW-15540 Resolved an issue where Latest Replication Status would be inaccurate for replication jobs that were currently in progress.
APIGW-15578 Resolved an issue where tags were not replicating between the source and target Continuous Data engine.
APIGW-15620 Resolved an issue where, upon a dSource’s rename, all associated bookmark names would also get updated.
APIGW-15674 Resolved an issue where the Home > Instances > CDBs tab did not load as expected.
APIGW-16096 Resolved an issue where replicated bookmarks were not imported due to a unique key violation.
APIGW-16242 Resolved an issue where the Timeline would fail to appear due to an incorrect check against pre-Perforce versions (i.e. YEAR.M.R.P).
APIGW-16268 Resolved an issue where bookmarks imported into DCT have an incorrect expiration date of one day earlier than intended.
APIGW-16284 Resolved an issue where Self Service (Jet Stream) bookmarks would fail if the data-library container restarted during the import process.

Known issues

Issue ID Description Workaround
APIGW-13599 No warning or alert occurs when a data admin login fails for registered Continuous Compliance Engines. N/A
APIGW-13711 Policy Create or Update APIs do not validate CRON expressions. N/A
APIGW-14229 Insufficient or truncated error logs in the Operations page to resolve the failure. Navigate to the engine to see the full error.
APIGW-14421 Operations do not show Actions started by engine-side policy workers. N/A
APIGW-14517 Frequent DCT APIs made against the Continuous Data and Compliance Engines cause high CPU and responsiveness issues. N/A
APIGW-14545 Replication profiles are deleted from the engine, but still visible in DCT. Restart DCT and the replication profiles will clean up.
APIGW-14600 After upgrading to 2025.5.1, accounts with VDB permissions managed via Tags can no longer see VDB operations. N/A
