Delete SAP HANA dSources in Data Control Tower

Deleting a dSource permanently removes it and all associated snapshots and bookmarks from Data Control Tower (DCT) and the Continuous Data Engine. This operation cannot be undone.

Ensure that no virtual databases (VDBs) are provisioned from this dSource before deleting it. You must delete any dependent VDBs first.

Steps

  1. Navigate to Data > Data Management > dSources.
  2. Select a dSource, then View.
  3. From the dSource detail page, select Actions and then select Delete.
  4. In the confirmation dialog, optionally select Force Delete to remove all associated data, including mount paths and files.

Force Delete removes the mount path and all associated data at the operating system level. Use this option only when you are certain that the data is no longer required.
  5. Select Delete.

Result

DCT triggers the delete operation on the engine. When the operation completes, the dSource is removed from the dSources table.
