2025.4 release notes
July 2025
Continuous Data 2025.4.0.0 introduces important enhancements in encryption support, cluster scalability, and Oracle multitenancy workflows. This release also resolves critical bugs affecting ingestion, connectivity, and upgrade stability, while introducing versioned API changes and deprecation notices to support forward planning.

New features
IBM DB2 TDE GS KIT
The IBM DB2 connector now supports Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) with Backup Only (DPF and non-DPF) and HADR ingestions, allowing you to ingest encrypted source backups and provision encrypted VDBs from encrypted dSources.
MongoDB staging push cluster support and certifications
The connector now supports creating a staging database across multiple nodes for Staging Push ingestion on MongoDB cluster architecture. We've also added certifications for MongoDB v7.x and v8.x.
V2P or V2ASM for multitenant Oracle databases using isolated TDE keystores
Continuous Data now supports Virtual to Physical (V2P) and Virtual to Oracle ASM (V2ASM) workflows for multitenant Oracle databases. You can export a virtual PDB in isolated mode from either a snapshot or a timeflow point to a physical filesystem or Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM).

Fixed issues
Release 2025.4.0.2 (August 2025)
| Issue number | Description |
|---|---|
| DLPX-94968 | Fixed an issue where Continuous Data engines running version 2025.4.0. experienced NFS instability under heavy I/O load. |
Release 2025.4.0.0 (July 2025)
Fixes that take effect immediately after upgrading
| Issue number | Description |
|---|---|
| DLPX-69275 | Upgrades no longer delete diagnostic dropbox files intended for inclusion in unrelated support bundles. |
| DLPX-87716 | Connectivity tests for S3 now indicate if a test fails due to a DNS name resolution failure. |
| DLPX-91932 | Fixed an issue where the application allowed users to configure an invalid HTTPS cipher for the selected TLS version, resulting in an unrecoverable state that required support intervention. |
| DLPX-93467 | Addressed CVE-2025-24970 by upgrading Netty to 4.1.119.Final to prevent a potential native crash caused by malformed SSL packets. |
| DLPX-94285 | Fixed an issue where stale un-deleted Sybase device files consumed storage unnecessarily. |
| DLPX-94328 |
Fixed an issue where Delphix was unable to ingest backups from Commvault 11.36 or newer due to a Commvault standardization. |
|
DLPX-94439 |
Fixed a defect where support bundles were duplicated, resulting in unnecessary disk space consumption. |
| DLPX-94500 | Fixed an issue where upgrades get blocked due to a stale application database backup folder. |
Fixes that take effect after upgrading and rebooting
| Issue number | Description |
|---|---|
|
DLPX-94447 |
Fixed ZFS hangs when the rangelock performance enhancement feature was enabled. |
Known issues
| Key | Summary | Workaround |
|---|---|---|
| DLPX-93207 | dNFS is not used with NFSV4 if provision is run with a delphix OS user. | Provide `rw` permissions to any user (delphix_os or non-oracle user) running VDB/vPDB operations on `oranfstab` file. Alternatively, a less preferable workaround is to switch engine NFS config to force NFSv3 in which case Oracle does not need these entries in the `oranfstab` file but this will impact every VDB/vPDB on that engine. |
| DLPX-93860 | Migrating a vCDB/vPDB to a host with a different timezone will result in all SnapSyncs failing. | None |
| DLPX-94858 | Continuous Data engines running 2025.4.0.* have NFS stability issues under heavy IO loads. | None |
| DLPX-95934 | VDBs running on Solaris may fail to come online after upgrading to 2025.4.0.* or newer. | Enable dNFS on affected Solaris VDBs. |

Deprecated and EOL features
End of support for older databases and environments
We have announced End of Support dates for various older databases (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SAP HANA) and environments (AIX, SUSE, and Ubuntu). Read the Delphix announcement for complete details.
Delphix Community is moving to Perforce Community Groups
On July 31, 2025, we will decommission the Delphix Community and transition to Perforce Community Groups. After this date, you can no longer post in the Delphix Community. We designed the Perforce Community Groups to give you a more unified space to discuss Delphix and other Perforce products and services. Watch this short video to learn how to access the new Delphix and Perforce Community Groups.
