Migrating from legacy generic connectors
With the End of Life (EOL) of Generic Connectors in Delphix Continuous Compliance Engine 2025.4.0.0, you can no longer use them in masking jobs or rulesets. This page outlines the steps you must perform to migrate your configuration to supported connector types.
Prerequisite
-
Do not delete Generic Connectors or rulesets until after migration. Deletion is permanent and will remove all linked jobs and history.
-
Make note of any Generic Connectors flagged during the upgrade validation process.
Migration Steps
-
Create a replacement connector. Use a natively supported or extended connector to replicate the original Generic Connector's configuration. For connector types, refer to the Supported Connectors page.
-
Create a new ruleset using the connector from Step 1. Ensure that the tables and configurations—such as key columns, custom SQL, and filters—match those in the existing ruleset.
-
Match the inventory configuration. The inventory setup for the tables must also match the original. Alternatively, you can export the inventory from the existing ruleset and import it into the new one. For more information on export and import, refer to the Managing inventory topic.
-
-
Login to the Delphix Conitnuous Compliance Engine UI and update job configurations.
-
For in-place masking jobs, replace the old ruleset with the new one.
-
For on-the-fly masking jobs, change the source connector, select a replacement connector from the source environment.
-
-
Confirm that a replacement connector and ruleset exist for each deprecated one. All jobs now use the new configuration.
-
After all jobs are verified and working correctly, delete the deprecated Generic Connectors.
